Neue Wohnung

We are so excited to finally have a place to live and, more importantly, possession of the keys. We decided on a loft-like apartment in the main shopping area of the Bockenheim District of Frankfurt, Germany. We are on the third floor of the building, however the Germans refer to this as the 2nd floor because first floors are considered “ground floors.” There are tons of shops, produce vendors, restaurants and bakeries on our street as well as a U-bahn stop.

Click here to see a video tour of the place (sorry, you can’t hear us very well b/c of the echo, we will post another when we actually have our furniture!). Speaking of, our household goods are supposed to arrive on Tuesday and we can’t wait- three weeks living out of suitcases is enough.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, one large living room, kitchen and two full baths. We love the openness as well as the amount of light that comes in to our new place. Our favorite feature besides the location include the 2 balconies overlooking the street below. Now, time to prepare for the move-IN. Click the picture below to see some shots of our new place.

This is such a great idea to stay connected to your peeps in the States! I'm glad you three made it there safely and are settling in nicely :) The apartment looks great and I love that you're still "city dwellers"! Give Kooper a big, wet slobbery kiss from Pepper!!

take care,
Michelle Lors
