On October 12th, I (Shaun here) took part in a 30 year-old local Darmstadt, Germany tradition of running a 13 Kilometer (8 mile) run from one of the Darmstadt located US Army bases to the Frankenstein Castle. The run is almost all uphill and finishes with an 80 meter near vertical climb.
Depending who you ask, the castle has varying relationships to the famous Frankenstein novel; nevertheless, the castle does have an intense haunted house in the weeks leading up to Halloween.
Really not too much to say, but the event has a cool Halloween graphic so I felt like posting...
