(An old picture - November 2006 - Ironically, we don't have any good pictures of Frankfurt since we moved here in August - I will work on it).It feels good to stay at home for a weekend. Kate was home for the weekend on November 16th so on Friday night, when her flight arrived, she met me and my colleague at The Embassy Restaurant in Frankfurt for dinner and a few drinks.
Saturday, we went to a Mezzanotte, an Italian restaurant in Bockenheim, for lunch that is right around the corner from our place -delicious! For dinner on Saturday we tried Liebe and Steele in Alstadt and on Sunday, we went to this retro place, in Alstadt, for brunch - Waldens. Fantastic food! Needless to say, our kitchen has not been used very much.
In between eating, Kate working, and me running... we caught up on our hometown by watching several episodes of the HBO series "The Wire". We are in season two and seeing lots of familiar sites as this season focuses on the Baltimore ports not far from Federal Hill!! Not being home for Thanksgiving is going to be tough this year, but we are looking forward to a four day weekend in Berlin. We'll post after we get back :)
