On Saturday morning Shaun and I decided to take a last minute road trip to Luxembourg (about a 2.5 hour drive). Within two hours we were on the road and enjoying a beautiful drive through the German countryside. Luxembourg is a cute city and French was the primary language. Many of the main attractions were actually closed for winter but we still had a great time walking around. The weather was awesome - we were actually able to enjoy sunny skies and 50 degree temperatures.The highlight of our trip was our dinner on Saturday night at Apoteca. Their slogan is "Expect the unexpected," and they did not disappoint. We both ordered appetizers (Shaun ordered soup and I ordered a Caesar Salad) and dinner (Shaun ordered salmon and I ordered paella). The restaurant was very focused on presentation...It is hard to explain...see our pictures below. Click here to see more pics from the weekend.
