On Friday we headed to Ft. Lauderdale. After getting a good night's sleep we went out into the ocean on a boat named Bubba. We had such a great time hanging out with the family, getting some sun (we have been stuck in the Black Forest for 9 months, after all) and going tubing in the ocean. The temperature was a balmy 80 degrees and the water was fabulous. Saturday night we headed out to a bar in Ft. Lauderdale named Lulus.

Sunday we caught some sunshine and then it was time for the big event! My uncle Matt got married on Sunday. He and his new wife, Andra, looked absolutely beautiful/handsome and it was a gorgeous ceremony and reception. My favorite part (other than getting to hang out with the family) was the mashed potato bar..served in martini glasses. YUM. So for those keeping track at home - I became an Aunt on Monday and gained an Aunt on Sunday. Busy Week!

Monday we woke up and after a quick breakfast at Denny's (I'll take one Fabulous French Toast Platter - don't knock it!) we headed off for our flight back to Frankfurt. The flight home was a piece of cake..made even easier by the on demand movies Delta offered! (By the way - watch Gone, Baby, Gone if you haven't already). It was an awesome weekend and we really had such a blast. Thanks to all who carted us around all weekend!
