In January Shaun and I planned a 9 day trip to Rome and Sardinia. At the time we had no idea that our little getaway would turn into a babymoon! We were in Rome for 4 days and had an awesome time. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the sites, eating lots of pizza and gelato, and just being outside. It was very hot while we were there - in the 90s the entire time! This led to excessive water drinking/gelato eating and afternoon naps (obey the siesta)! See the link to our pictures below as well as a few of my favorites. I think our favorite site was probably the Borghese Gallery and the surrounding park. We also enjoyed a tour we did inside Vatican City (including the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica). With this we complete the European trifecta of London, Paris and Rome. I won't lie -we were exhausted when we left Rome - which was the perfect way to begin the next leg of our journey!
