I have developed a duck-like gait and my stomach feels as though it weighs one hundred pounds. Baby Rausch was weighing in at 3200 grams (7.1 lbs.) and 50cm (about 20"). My stomach is constantly falling out of shirts (maternity shirts at that!) and I'm now exclusively sleeping in Shaun's extensive tshirt collection. At times, I must admit, he looks nervous that I'm stretching them out. Putting my shoes and socks on is a true arobatic feat and my back feels like it is on fire half the time. Her room is finished, the car seat installed, clothes washed, hospital bag packed. I hate to be impatient and wish time away...b/c I know it will go all to fast once she arrives...but I'm really tired of sleepless nights and waiting! So - BRING IT!
So...what is a REALLY pregnant girl to do near the holidays in this situation? BAKE! I have been baking since Monday. Dozens upon dozens of cookies! 7 different kinds! All on ONE cookie sheet thanks to my teeny european oven. Any one interested in any of these cookies recipes - just let me know! 12 DAYS UNTIL DUE DATE!!!
1. Sugar Cookies
2. Chocolate Crinkles
3. Chocolate Chip Cookies4. Raspberry Turnovers
5. Snickerdoodles
6. Holiday Noels. These have dried cranberries and pecans in them. I've learned from experience to warn of baked goods including nuts as some are allergic! (Sorry again, Kevin!)
7. Spritz Cookies
