Christmas and New Years

Christmas and New Years were pretty low key and we spent a lot of our time in the apartment with mom and Keith. Here are some pics from our Christmas celebration:

Christmas

We scrambled in the days immediately following her birth but were able to find a Baby's First Christmas ornament. Morgan also received her first 4 gifts - some clothes from Aunt Laura, Peddalino (more on him later), a book about the alphabet, and a cute train that spells out her name. I'd appreciate if no one told her that none of these gifts were from us!

New Years day we took a drive up the Rhine River and visited one of the castles (which after a long hike up a steep hill we figured out was closed). We also visited the town of St. Goar and then had dinner in Bacharach. By the time we left dinner the cobblestone was super icy and we had to take it easy on the drive home. Morgan did great on her first big outing which included sleeping through dinner. After eating a delicious shrimp scampi dinner (thanks mom!) we settled in to watch the fireworks. As we posted last year, when New Years rolls around everyone sets off fireworks. Below is a video of our street on New Years Eve around midnight. None of these fireworks are provided by the city - these are just set off by our neighbors and random people on the street. I need to remember that we should hold the camera horizontally for videos!
