One Month

I can NOT believe that Morgan will be one month old tomorrow! The past month has flown by in a blur. It has been a huge learning experience for Shaun and I. I won't lie - we're exhausted. But we've never had so much fun. It is amazing to see how much Morgan changes everyday. Morgan is growing everyday and has already outgrown several newborn outfits (sob, sob, sob). Each day we wake up and she becomes more engaged and makes a little more eye contact with us. I'm pretty sure she knows who we are now. We've learned how to change diapers, wrestle her into clothing, prevent and treat diaper rash, bathe, and swaddle. Morgan LOVES to cuddle and spends the better part of her days and nights in our arms. She loves listening to stories (Curious George is a favorite), laying commando on the changing table, looking at herself in the mirror, hiccuping, spitting up, making dirty diapers, bath time, eating, and listening to her Baby Einstein tunes. We're still not sure what color her eyes will be..they look slate gray now so I think they could be blue or brown. Kooper vigilantly follows Morgan around and gets very anxious if she doesn't know where she is. Kooper has been a huge help to me during the day because if I lay Morgan down in her crib and she begins to stir Kooper gives me the heads up a good minute before I hear Morgan starting to cry.

Speaking of crying - damn these babies have a set of lungs! We've had some LONG nights with fits of inconsolable crying. It's like playing the worst game of charades EVER. She keeps trying to tell us what she wants and we are just really bad at guessing...and we never get to see what the right answer is! But c'est la vie. Below are links to pictures for the first four weeks and a little video...I know..there are a lot! This isn't even everything! I'll do a better job of getting these organized, captioned, and removing duplicates in coming months..but this is the best we're going to get for this month. I'm also including some of my favorite pictures of our sweet baby girl. Happy One Month Morgan!

I played the video of Morgan crying, and Jack got VERY EXCITED. I think he understood what she was saying! ;-) but he wouldn't translate for me.
